CONTINENTAL DIVIDE TRAIL We are finally making real progress on completing the portion of the Continental Divide Trail that runs through New Mexico. We recently toured the area with the Acoma Indian Tribe to see how we can move forward. MEXICAN CANYON TRESTLE We are actively working with the New Mexico Rails-to-Trails Association and the U.S. Forest Service to stabilize and restore the Mexican Canyon Trestle. Due to the probable unavailability of federal funding, this effort requires a creative strategy involving a broad cross-section of participants. METH ACTION PROJECT Methamphetamine is the scourge of Southern New Mexico. We absolutely must protect our children, friends, and loved ones from this horrificly addictive drug. I and my staff have been all over the state meeting with young groups to try and prevent them from destroying their lives with this drug. |
