Congressman Steve Pearce to Host Women’s Economic Forum

Oct 4, 2012

Alamogordo, NM (October 04, 2012) -  On Friday, October 12th, Congressman Steve Pearce will host a women’s economic forum.  He will be taking questions and discussing the economy with women’s groups from seven communities throughout southern New Mexico.  The virtual forum will originate from Alamogordo’s IMAX Theater at the Museum of Space History.

“My staff and I have been speaking with women’s groups throughout southern New Mexico discussing economic issues, and this virtual forum will help bring them all together,” said Pearce. “Listening to women talk about issues involving their family’s pocketbook is very important, and we recognize that women are able to empower an economic recovery for our nation, starting with every family.”

Along with a group in Alamogordo hosted by Mayor Susie Galea, Congressman Pearce will interact with women’s groups linked together by internet streaming from Carlsbad, Hobbs, Roswell, Las Cruces, Socorro, Belen and Silver City. The forum is open to all women in these areas.  It will be the first virtual forum of its kind at the IMAX Theater.

The forum will be held from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Friday, October 12th.  For more information about participating, please call Mary Morris at 1-855-4-PEARCE.
