Washington, DC (April 25, 2013) – Tuesday, the House of Representatives released an interim report on its investigation of the September 11, 2012 attacks that killed four Americans in Benghazi, Libya.

“Four Americans are dead, and 7 months later, the American people still have no answers,” said U.S. Congressman Steve Pearce. “Now, the House report provides evidence that Administration made inaccurate and misleading statements.  Americans are concerned that the White House is not telling the truth.  I am eager to read the findings in the full report.  I hope upon its release, the White House and the State Department will cooperate and provide the American public with the answers they deserve.”

Pearce has consistently sought answers and transparency from the Administration on its handling of the Benghazi attacks.  Earlier this month, he cosponsored H.Res 36, which proposes a “committee to investigate and report on the attack on the United States consulate in Benghazi, Libya.”
