PEARCE TO ATTEND FIRE TOWN HALL MEETING IN RUIDOSO
Ruidoso, NM (May 24, 2013) – Today, U.S. Congressman Steve Pearce announced that he will attend a town hall meeting to discuss fire prevention and forest management. The meeting will be held this Thursday, May 30, at 11:30 am at The Lodge at Sierra Blanca, located at 107 Sierra Blanca Drive in Ruidoso.
Bill Derr, a retired Special Agent with the U.S. Forest Service who authored a recent report on fires in New Mexico, will also be in attendance. Congressman Pearce has also invited representatives from the U.S. Forest Service to attend the meeting and hear feedback from New Mexicans. Rep. Pearce and Mr. Derr will discuss fire prevention, forest management, and related issues with attendees, and will take questions and listen to personal stories and feedback.
