PEARCE: PRESIDENT OWES AMERICANS ANSWERS ON BENGHAZI
Washington, DC (April 11, 2013) – Today, U.S. Congressman Steve Pearce announced that he is cosponsoring H. Res. 36, legislation to establish a “committee to investigate and report on the attack on the United States consulate in Benghazi, Libya.”
“Four Americans dead, an unconfirmed number wounded, and the American people know nothing,” said Pearce. “For seven months Americans have demanded answers from the White House about the attack on our consulate in Libya. Yet their questions have never been answered, and the truth still evades the American people. The people I represent in New Mexico demand the truth. The creation of a select committee on the Benghazi attack is the only way the people of New Mexico and the American people will ever receive the truth and closure they deserve.”
In November, Rep. Pearce sent a letter to the White House inquiring about the attacks. Five months later, there has been no response.
