Las Cruces, NM (June 25, 2012) Today, Congressman Steve Pearce issued the following statement, urging residents in areas affected by forest fires to prepare for monsoon season.

“As monsoon season is approaching, there is a potential for devastating flooding. One of the best things all residents can do to prepare themselves is check their flood insurance policies,” said Pearce. “There are other resources for those without flood insurance and I urge you all to become familiar with those resources ahead of time. I want to extend my prayers for all those affected and thank everyone for their tireless efforts in preventing further flooding damages from happening.”
