Washington, DC (September 11, 2013) – Today, U.S. Congressman Steve Pearce issued the following statement in remembrance of September 11.

“Today, we remember all those lost twelve years ago on September 11, 2001.  That dark day in our nation’s history was a day of tragedy, but also a day of courage, sacrifice, and heroism.  We have rebuilt, and freedom has remained strong, but we must always remember.

“Today, we honor those lost, and we continue to pray for their loved ones.  We remember the countless examples of everyday heroes who risked—and gave—their lives to save others.  And we remember the brave men and women in uniform who continue to guard our freedoms in harm’s way, and we pray for their safety and for their families back home.

“We will always remember.”
