Today, millions around the world come together to celebrate one of the most meaningful and special days of the year.  Easter is a time to reflect, enjoy time with loved ones, and remember the importance of faith.  For me, the sacrifice and resurrection of my savior Jesus Christ is the defining moment of my faith, and something to live for today and every day.

Cynthia and I wish you and your family all the best as you celebrate Easter today.  And, we continue to pray for the safety of those serving overseas, and for their family members who sacrifice for freedom.  I think especially of Sgt. Tristan Wade, a soldier from White Sands Missile Range, who gave his life this month in defense of freedom.  Easter seems an appropriate time to remember and give thanks for all those who have laid down their lives for another.

Whatever your faith, may today be truly blessed for you and your family.

And as you pray this Easter, I ask that you join me in praying for those without jobs in this difficult time, for those serving abroad and their families, and for rain for our drought-stricken state.

Happy Easter, and may God bless you!
