Congressman Steve Pearce will be hosting two meetings on Tuesday, May 17th, to give veterans in southeastern New Mexico the opportunity to talk with the staff of the VA Hospital in Albuquerque.

The Carlsbad meeting will be held at 2:00 pm at the American Legion Hall, 2311 Legion Street.  The Roswell meeting will be at 6:00 pm at the Elk’s Lodge, 1720 N. Montana.

Congressman Pearce is hosting these meetings to bring together VA Hospital staff and veterans in southern New Mexico.  In previous meetings with constituents, Mr. Pearce had committed to bringing in representatives from the VA hospital to help local veterans address concerns raised over services.  These meetings are delivering on that promise.  Future meetings are being planned for other areas in the Second Congressional District, so that all veterans in Mr. Pearce’s district will have an opportunity to communicate directly with the VA.

Veterans who prefer not to discuss concerns in the public forum are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes early to either meeting.  Staff will be set up a half-hour before each meeting for private discussions.

Pearce, a decorated Vietnam veteran, continues to make veterans’ issues a priority in the United States House of Representatives and at home in New Mexico.
