PEARCE SUPPORTS TRUMP’S PICK FOR AIR FORCE SECRETARY
Washington, DC (January 23, 2017) Congressman Steve Pearce released the following statement after President Trump announced his intention to nominate former U.S. House Representative Heather Wilson to serve as the Secretary of the Air Force:
“As a former Air Force veteran and fellow New Mexican, I applaud the nomination of Air Force veteran Heather Wilson as Secretary of the Air Force,” said Pearce. “Her service to our nation – both in the Air Force and as a Member of the House of Representatives – will greatly benefit the Air Force and the military overall. Heather understands the issues facing our Air Force both as a servicemember and a legislator. The Air Force must have a leader in Washington who knows first-hand the sacrifices made on a daily basis and who will work tirelessly to serve them. I look forward to working with her again to support the prosperity of Holloman, Kirtland, and Cannon Air Force Bases and the health of the Air Force nationally."
